Chazz.ai imports and exports character cards in the standard portable format, so a character built elsewhere works here and a character built here works elsewhere. Nothing is stranded.
Chazz.ai reads and writes character cards in the standard portable format used across the hobby. A card made elsewhere imports and plays immediately, and a card made here exports and works elsewhere, so neither direction is a one-way trip.
Why both directions matter
Import alone is a growth tactic. Export is the part that costs a service something, and it is the part that tells you whether it expects to keep you by being good. Both work here.
What survives the round trip
Import lives at the import screen, and the field-by-field reference is in the character documentation.
- Name, description, personality, appearance, greeting and alternate greetings, example dialogue and speech rules.
- Fields the standard format has no slot for are preserved where the format allows an extension and dropped where it does not, which is stated at export rather than discovered later.
- Conversations and memory are not part of a card. A card is the character, not the history.
