Every section of the Settings page and what each control actually changes.

Settings is a single long scroll with no tabs. Almost everything on it sets a default for new chats. Existing conversations keep whatever they were saved with, and any conversation can override any of it. See How settings are resolved.

Most controls need a registered account. A guest who touches one gets a sign-in prompt rather than a silent failure. Theme is the exception, and works for everyone.

Account

The distinction is worth internalising: the handle is public, the display name is private. See Privacy, data and the vault.

  • Sign in / Sign up · Continue as guest: Shown when you are signed out or on a guest session.
  • Handle: Your one public identifier. This is what other people see on your content and comments. Hidden for guests.
  • Display name: 3 to 24 characters, letters, numbers, dots, underscores or hyphens. Only you see this, and it is not shown to other users.
  • Manage Subscription · Sign Out: Shown once you are signed in; the subscription button only on a paid tier.

Billing & Subscription

Your current plan, with links to the Store, the payment provider's billing portal, and cancellation. See Plans and subscriptions.

Chat Defaults

A Reset to defaults button that restores every chat-related default on this page after a confirmation.

Generation Settings

The base model price includes the first 100 tokens. Every additional 100 adds +1 CGC per message. See How credits work.

  • Default Message Length: How long replies may be, in tokens.
  • Default Creativity: Sampling temperature, shown as a percentage.
  • Your Voice: The voice used to read your own messages back in chat. Empty means no narration of your lines.

Global Style Override

Conversation-level settings override this. Removing a custom style that is currently selected resets the selection to off.

  • Default Style: A lightweight style preference layered under everything else. Presets: off, dialogue-led, story-led, and one for restricted content that is only offered to eligible accounts.
  • Custom Styles: Reusable style prompts of your own, up to 500 characters each.

AI Model

Category pills plus a card per model showing its per-message credit cost. Picking one sets your account default. See Choosing a model.

Default World

The five scenario-engine toggles, each with a badge stating exactly what it costs. See World toggles for what each one changes at runtime.

Default Living Memory

The six memory sliders, with a live badge showing the resulting depth tier and cost multiplier. See Memory and recall.

Default Director

Records whether you want the director on by default, and feeds the cost estimate. See The director for what actually decides whether it runs.

Character Settings

  • Use creator's recommended settings: On by default. New chats start from the character creator's tuned model, creativity, length, world toggles, memory, voice, style and director instead of your own defaults. Turn it off to always use yours.

Your Persona

Create and manage the character you play, and choose an account default. See Personas: who you are.
