Scripts are written in a dedicated editor rather than a plain text box. It is reached from the Lore Packs tab of your Library.

What it gives you

Completion for every name a script can reach, filtered by what is valid at the cursor.
Hover cards with the signature, a summary, parameters and worked examples for any builtin.
Live diagnostics as you type, pointing at the exact span rather than reporting a line number.
A reference tab listing every value, function and method, grouped by category.
A guide with worked examples, and a cookbook of patterns to copy.
Try it buttons on the examples, so you can run a snippet without wiring it into a pack first.

Authored fields are preserved

Everything you author on an entry (triggers, scripts, positions, groups, cooldowns) is stored on the entry itself, not derived from the text. Saving a pack keeps all of it.
