The Companion page currently renders a single "Coming Soon!" message and nothing else. There are no controls and nothing to configure. Source: web/src/views/user/Companion.tsx, where the whole file is seven lines.
Companion mode is a different thing and does work today: it is one of the chat modes, and it emphasises long-running continuity with one character. See Chat modes.
